Audit Programs
As we all know, the audit program is comprised of audit steps to assist the auditor in accomplishing the objectives of an audit assignment. The audit program is often viewed as the core of the audit working papers. Furthermore, standardization in design and content of the audit program is desirable by many of us because it facilitates the audit process. There are many audit programs developed for the various reviews that are routinely performed in the information systems environment – from an enterprise general or application internal control review, a network review, a billing system review, to an economy and efficiency review of a specific aspect of the entity’s IS/IT operations. From time to time, our research efforts will come across an audit program that appears to provide a unique approach in meeting the challenges of today’s environment. We may also become aware of a particular audit program during one of our training sessions that an individual is eager to share with others in the audit community. Regardless of how we obtain the audit program, our goal is to pass it on so that everyone can benefit from it. The purpose of this page is to share these audit programs with you.
If you have an audit program that you would like to share, please e-mail a copy to us at gchambers@glenchambers.com.
